News — Ronald McDonald House Charities needs your support

Ronald McDonald House Charities is an independent charity which provides free ‘Home away from home’ accommodation at specialist children’s hospitals across the UK, enabling families to stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life.

Over the past 29 years the charity has enabled thousands of families to stay together during some of the toughest periods of their lives, with 14 UK houses in 2017, 14 UK having helped over 8,000 families which can only be achieved with the support and aid of volunteers, fundraising initiatives and our dedicated donors.

On Saturday, 27 and Sunday 29 October, McDonalds will have a stand in the centre on level 2 outside Superdry, to raise money for families. To achieve this, McDonalds will be selling sweets, air fresheners and soft cuddly toys at £2.99 each or 4 for £10.00. Family fun activities will also include hook-a-duck and ‘guess the name of’ to be in with the chance of winning prizes.

With rooms currently costing £25 per night to provide this free accommodation to families, every penny that you spend will greatly help.
